Do I have to choose a different fabric, or can I just buy what I see? You don't have to change anything if you love the piece as shown. Every product in our range is photographed in a specific fabric. If you like what you see, simply add it to your basket and check out. The fabric shown in the listing is exactly what you'll receive. Customisation is available if you'd like a different fabric, size or finish, but it's entirely optional. Buying from Beaumont can be as simple as any other online purchase.
How does ordering bespoke furniture work? Ordering from Beaumont is simpler than you might think. Browse our range and choose a style you love. Every piece can be upholstered in your choice of fabric from our collection of over 2,000 options. Select your leg type, orientation and any additional cushions, then place your order. We'll handcraft your piece specifically for you in our Northeast England workshop and deliver it to your door within 2-3 weeks.
Does the fabric choice affect the price? Yes, the price of your piece will vary depending on the fabric you choose. Standard fabrics are included in the listed price, while premium fabrics such as 100% Wool, Genuine Leather, Aquaclean and our Luxe collections may incur an additional cost.
Can I see the fabric before I order? Absolutely, and we strongly recommend it. We offer free fabric samples — you only pay the shipping — so you can see and feel the quality in your own home before committing. Simply request samples from our sister website, Beaumont Fabrics. Once you've chosen your fabric, note the fabric code and include it in your order.
Can I choose left- or right-hand orientation? Yes, most of our chaise longues and sofas are available in both left- and right-hand orientations. Simply select your preference when ordering.
What leg types are available? We offer a range of leg styles, including Hardwood Mahogany Queen Anne legs, straight tapered legs and others, depending on the piece. The available options are shown on each product page.
Can I add scatter cushions or bolster cushions? Yes, scatter cushions and bolster cushions can be added to most pieces. You can choose the same fabric as your main piece or mix and match for a more personalised look.
How long does delivery take? Because every piece is handmade to order, delivery takes 2-3 weeks from the date of your order. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.
Is delivery free? Yes, we offer free delivery on all orders across the UK mainland.
What sizes are available? Our furniture is available in a range of sizes to suit different spaces and needs. All available sizes are listed on each product page. Simply choose the size that works best for your room. Because every piece is handmade to order in your chosen fabric, it's still uniquely yours even if the size is selected from our standard range.
Returns & Guarantee
Can I return bespoke furniture? Because every piece is made specifically to your order, in your chosen fabric, size and configuration, we are unable to accept returns. This is standard practice for bespoke made-to-order furniture. We strongly recommend ordering fabric samples before placing your order to make sure you're completely happy with your choice.
What guarantee do you offer? All our furniture comes with a 1-year guarantee covering manufacturing defects. We stand behind the quality of everything we make.
What if my furniture arrives damaged? In the unlikely event your furniture arrives damaged, please contact us immediately with photographs, and we will resolve the issue promptly.
